Checked the timing on the Mini and it appears to be retarded. I did get it idling fairly smoothly, but it looks like tomorrow I get to adjust the timing. Also, my first use of a timing light.

I always loved the art of properly setting the timing on an old-school car. It kind of makes me sad that I don’t get to use my timing light any more...
